Crater Lake Milky Way Photography Workshop – July 8, 2026
Join me at Crater Lake National Park for a one-night Milky Way Photography Workshop designed for beginner and intermediate photographers looking to master wide-field astrophotography. Crater Lake is one of the darkest and most stunning night-sky locations in the Pacific Northwest, making it an ideal place to learn night photography skills and capture breathtaking images of the Milky Way.
During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to photograph the Milky Way from start to finish using common techniques and also my proprietary workflow for achieving maximum image quality — all without the need for specialized tracking equipment. Although our focus is wide-field astrophotography, there may also be opportunities for sunset and blue-hour photography around the rim of Crater Lake as well.
Most shooting locations are relatively accessible, though short walks on uneven ground in low light should be expected.
